The Southern Silk Road Outdoor Project

On October 27, 2022, Liro Lighting was honored to provide lighting for the Southern Silk Road Outdoor Project.
For this large-scale outdoor project, Liro Lighting utilized over 2,000 cutting-edge waterproof lighting devices, including powerful IP 420W beam lights, IP 400w BSW 3in1 lights, IP moving head wash lights, IP GOBO lights, IP water lights, IP wall wash lights, and IP strobe lights.

The ingenious lighting design transformed each waterproof beam into a unique masterpiece, weaving together to form a magnificent tapestry, illuminating the entire outdoor venue. The beams crisscrossed the air like a galaxy cascading down, emitting a warm and dreamy glow.
Led by the music, the lights and melody danced gracefully, like a symphony of light and shadow, transporting the audience into a magical realm.
The waterproof design not only allowed the lights to shine even in the night rain, but also added a touch of cool mystery to the outdoor light show. Beams of light pierced the mist, creating flowing trails of light that were both captivating and dreamlike.
This was more than just a light show; it was a feast for the senses. Visitors felt as if they were immersed in a sea of light and shadow, entering a realm of magic and wonder. This outdoor light show, featuring over 2,000 waterproof lights, not only illuminated the night sky; Liro Lighting played a key role in this cultural exchange, creating a breathtaking visual experience and strengthening visitors’ deep connection with history.

When 600 BEAM 420 IP waterproof beam lights are simultaneously illuminated, the project’s main entrance is no longer a cold, impersonal structure, but a vibrant ecosystem of light and shadow. The BEAM 400 IP has proven its strength: true premium lighting never compromises its environment.

This IP65 waterproof 420W professional beam light utilizes an imported Philips 420W short-arc metal halide bulb as its core light source, offering adjustable color temperature from 5000K to 8000K and a high color rendering index (CRI) of 95. Its 200mm aspherical coated lens and multi-stage focusing optical system are perfectly adapted to the short-arc spot characteristics of the Philips bulb, achieving an ultra-sharp beam angle of 2-5° and maintaining over 85% beam penetration at a distance of 300 meters. The IP65 dynamic sealing structure is optimized for outdoor use. For dynamic control, it integrates 17 channels of DMX512/RDM protocol and a three-phase synchronous brushless motor, supporting 540°/270° high-precision illumination. The 16-degree rotation (8/16-bit resolution) and automatic calibration algorithm eliminate mechanical cumulative errors, achieving a positioning accuracy of ±0.02°, fully unleashing the instantaneous start-up (<0.2s) and high-frequency flicker-free (0.5-20Hz) performance advantages of Philips bulbs. The heat dissipation design uses breakthrough CFD fluid simulation to optimize the air duct. Through vortex convection cooling and intelligent temperature control chips, the full-load noise is controlled below 35dB (at a distance of 1 meter), while extending the life of Philips bulbs to more than 5,000 hours. The entire device supports both upright and inverted installation modes, and weighs only 28kg, setting a technical benchmark for “imported light sources + military-grade protection” in high-end outdoor lighting projects.

On the bustling streets, the waterproof Gobo light is like an art master who controls the magic of light and shadow. It has four built-in sets of customizable pattern pieces that can be quickly switched. Whether it is a silhouette of a city landmark, a holiday theme totem, or a brand-specific symbol, it can project a sharp image through a high-precision optical system. The IP65-level protection allows the lamp to output stably even in heavy rain. When water droplets slide along the lampshade, they reflect tiny starlight, adding a dreamy filter to the pattern. With the help of the DMX console, the four sets of patterns can be combined and transformed at will, sometimes letting meteors dance with petals, and sometimes making geometric lines and abstract symbols intersect. The pattern lights can even update customized patterns in real time to reflect the festive atmosphere, instantly transforming the entire street into a “gallery of a thousand faces of light and shadow.” The waterproof water-ripple lights, like a romantic poet chanting the night’s poetry, use a built-in wave algorithm to weave a flowing silken tapestry of light across the ground. Cool white light cascades like moonlight on a tranquil lake, while warm yellow light ripples like the afterglow of a setting sun. As the lights slowly sway with their oscillating motors, ripples spread from beneath your feet to the corners of the walls, even the streetside fountains seem imbued with a soul. As the water droplets and light patterns dance together, it’s hard to tell whether they’re real rippling water or a fluid dream woven by light and shadow.

The Southern Silk Road Outdoor Project is China’s first Southern Silk Road cultural themed immersive interactive experience space created by China Arts Federation. It is located in Yunlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province.
